Respect and High Standards

Our Journey  from Farm to Fork

All our poultry is fully traceable from pack on the store shelf, right back to the breeder flock from where the chicks came. Our chicken farmers are part of a number of independent assurance schemes such as Red Tractor Assured Chicken Scheme.

In order to maintain and ensure consumer safety and global food safety and security, we are committed to supporting our farmers, through ongoing training, education and personal development.

We have a dedicated team which visit our farmers to ensure compliance against our high standards, they support our farmers daily ensuring all our chicken is consistently of a high quality to meet our customer requirements.

Ensuring Food Safety

Campylobacter Control

At CPL, we recognise the significance of maintaining a robust campylobacter reduction programme to guarantee food safety. We have implemented several strategies to minimise its incidence throughout our production process. Rigorous hygiene checks for crates and vehicles, stress prevention procedures during transport and catching, and effective washing and chilling processes all contribute to reducing Campylobacter levels in our finished poultry products. By combining these strategies, we uphold the highest standards of food safety for our valued customers.

Minimising Environmental Impact

Odour Management and Waste Control

Our comprehensive measures for odour prevention, management, and mitigation ensure minimal impact on the surrounding areas. All waste generated at our facility is legally removed by licensed third-party waste companies. We closely monitor our waste control systems to ensure compliance with UK regulations.
